Airport reconstruction and expansion

Using traditional surveying methods, our company supervised the implementation of an investment project involving the reconstruction and expansion of an airport in Gliwice.
The first stage included adapting it to the needs of exclusive airport use with reference code 1B (with the possibility of transformation to 2B) along with the construction of necessary technical infrastructure and the fuel system.
A runway was designed to enable the acceptance of aircraft suitable for a private use airport, with a maximum takeoff weight of up to 10,000 kg (MTOM), including charter and passenger planes up to 19 people, as well as to improve the technical parameters of the airport to meet the requirements of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), allowing for wider use of the airport in air traffic.
The project included higher parameters of airport surfaces, enabling the extension of the runway in the future and a possible change in the legal form of the airport to an airport with limited certification.
